Workplace Projects
#902 BSAC Workplace Refurbishment
The aim was to completely transform the workplace, which covers 4 floors including a basement of a Grade II listed building, and requires both external and internal improvements.
The design is based on modern industrialism to reflect the former character of the building. The new layout intends to enable the client to improve its work environment by facilitating co-working, improving break-out areas for employees and improving communication between the different departments
#936 Albion Court, Frederick Street
This project involves the full refurbishment of Albion Court in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter, a building which had previously had permission for residential units.
The scheme is designed to create an exciting workplace by combining traditional workplace qualities with new ways of working. The design allows for discreet office suites and/or floors but also collaborative working spaces. The key feature is a new atrium/courtyard space with a glazed roof which provides a dynamic break out area.
#731 Joseph Priestly Building
BCU took on the lease of a 56,000 sq. ft shell and core building and our brief was to relocate over 500 of the University’s Professional Services staff to Birmingham city centre into the four storey (plus basement) building. The departments included Estates, Campus Management Services, HR, Finance, IT, Learning and Library Resources, and Academic Services.
#615 University House
This brief for Birmingham City University was to relocate circa 200 of the University’s Professional Services departments into the city centre, including Marketing department, the International Office, and the Centre for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching, as well as a floor for the Vice Chancellor’s offices (VCO). The design embraces new ways of working, moving staff from traditional cellular office spaces to an open plan environment with the emphasis on the use of breakout spaces.
#406 Becta Offices
Our client was a Government Agency that leads the national drive to inspire and lead the effective and innovative use of technology throughout learning. We were commissioned for the interior design work of this 24,000 sq ft 2 storey office building following a competitive interview.
#426 ISG Offices
This scheme was the third national office for the ISG Group of companies. The brief was to create an open plan arrangement for 39 staff with several meeting rooms and break out spaces in 3000 sq ft in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham.
