Allens Croft Primary School
New-build two-storey building for Allen's Croft Primary School

As part of the Birmingham City Council’s schools programme, Willmott Dixon commissioned us to develop the Acivico scheme and design a new-build two-storey building for Allen’s Croft Primary School, Kings Heath, Birmingham. It provides additional classrooms to the existing PFI school.

The design is based around a central corridor with eight general teaching rooms accommodated across the two floors. Aesthetically the scheme is predominantly of dark grey cladding with a feature area in light grey. Colour is added at the deep window reveals via the use of the School’s colours of blue and yellow.

Construction is based around the use of the prefabricated Insushell system which calls for detailed co-ordination of the design, structure, and services.
